Local Scenes: Part 3

I’ve been busy with school/church/family/husband lately, and I’ve been remiss in finishing up our trip around my little world…

Little Switzerland has always been one of my favorite little places to stop along the parkway.
There are some cute little shops, a book store, an ice cream parlor, and a lodge with chalets.

From L.S. we continued south to Asheville, seeing this Momma and her cubs along the way:

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Asheville! In fact, if you’ve never been to the Smokies or Blue Ridge before, I would take a couple days away from Gatlinburg to see the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, along with the city’s gorgeous downtown. You also want to hit Chimney Rock, which is about 20 min south of Asheville. Personally, I prefer the Blue Ridge over the Smokies any day…

We capped off our day with a visit to the Tupelo Honey CafĂ©, with it’s legendary one hour wait, minimum.

There’s an awesome little park across the street, and your table buzzer
conveniently reaches inside the park.

So, we sat…

…and listened to the awesome band perform.

The Galen Kipar Project

Listen to some of their songs, I LOVE them!

And then our table was ready.

We enjoyed the rest of our meal. So much that we forgot to take pictures.

This is why I love East TN & West NC.

It’s “God’s Land” folks.
