The gorgeous Sarah Tucker at Fairytales are True posted about her recent jaunt to Thun, Switzerland.
Thun has a special place in my heart because it is where my Dad’s ancestors came from. Originally celtic tribesmen on the banks of Thunersee, they converted to Christianity through the work of the Italian monk St. Theodorus in the 4th century.
They converted to antibaptist doctrine in the 16th century, moving to the US in the mid 1700’s.
The area is absolutely gorgeous, I would love to spend some time there one day.
There’s just something about returning to the place where your ancestors had to flee…
